Focus and Scope
Research & Management Journal is a bilingual scientific publication by the School of Business Administration, focused on the dissemination of research findings in Business and International Management, Administrative or Management Processes, Technology and Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Sustainability, Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Innovation, Financial Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, and Public Administration.
Peer Review Process
The journal employs a double-blind peer review process in which reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors are unaware of the reviewers' identities. Each manuscript is typically reviewed by two or more reviewers, with a total of five to ten reviewers for all articles in each issue. A peer review system is used as a quality assurance mechanism, following the standards set by the journal. The reviewers are primarily external to USIL and are esteemed academics and researchers with recognized expertise in their fields, both nationally and internationally. They are assigned for article evaluation based on their expertise, and they conduct their reviews anonymously. The scheme also ensures the anonymity of the authors being evaluated. The general procedure is as follows: - All submitted articles are initially reviewed by the Editor and a member of the Editorial Board as a preliminary assessment. If the content meets the required quality standards, they are forwarded to the assigned reviewers. - Two reviewers are designated for each article based on their areas of expertise. - Reviewers use an evaluation guide that includes prioritized criteria and corresponding scores for the assessment of each article. - The result of the review can be: 1. Accepted without modifications or with minor revisions. 2. Conditional on a review and resubmission within 30 days. 3. Rejected. - In cases where the reviews are not in agreement, the procedure is as follows: 1. If the reviews are 1-2, it will be assigned a score of 2, and authors will be asked to incorporate the proposed changes. 2. If the reviews are 1-3, a third reviewer, typically a member of the Editorial Board, is involved. With three reviewers, a unanimous decision is reached, and the differing review is discarded. 3. If the reviews are 2-3, the article is rejected. - For articles that require revisions, once the authors submit the corrected version, it is sent to the reviewer who provided the most unfavorable review for verification of the changes and approval for publication. At this stage, the reviewer cannot request additional modifications beyond those outlined in the initial review. Reviewers receive the article to be evaluated, instructions provided to authors, and the reviewer evaluation form for their assessments. The Editor maintains communication with the reviewers and compiles a list of accepted and rejected articles, along with the corresponding review feedback, to be sent to the Editorial Board.
